Overview: How does Web-based education compare with "traditional" educational venues? How do you foster the sense of campus community online, with students and educators who may never meet face-to-face? How do you make Web technology work to support learning - and not the other way around? The North American Web-based Learning Conference, 2001, will focus on innovative and practical uses of the World Wide Web in teaching and learning, extending the reach of existing campuses and creating "virtual" campuses of a new and unique nature.
