This will be the fourth, international conference on Web-based Learning. It is a conference for users, by users. For a look at the first three NAWeb conferences, please see:

Education via the World Wide Web. More and more educators are doing it. More and more students are demanding it. And more and more questions are coming up. How does Web-based education compare with "traditional" educational venues? How do you foster the sense of campus community online, with students and educators who may never meet face-to-face? How do you make Web technology work to support learning - and not the other way around?

The North American Web Conference, 1998, will focus on innovative and practical uses of the World Wide Web in education, extending the reach of existing campuses and creating "virtual" campuses of a new and unique nature. Conference topics include, but are not limited to:
