This is for people who are into HTML - doing a little web page design - and want to learn enough JAVA
Script in one day to really spruce up their pages.

Adaptive Courseware - This half day session will be an in introduction to the technical and pedagogical implications for providing a web based learning environment that tailor's itself to individual needs of students participating in the course. - 1:00 pm till 4:00 pm - Instructor - Dr. Richard Pascoe, Computer and Information Science, University of Otago, New Zealand - Half Day

Advanced CGI topics will include:
- special headers (including refresh/expire, date, location, cookie, server push)
- techniques for keeping state ("remembering" user entry and session-specific information)
- handling in-process cancellation (when the user clicks "cancel" in the middle of your process)
- maybe, using CGI with other techniques (e.g., JavaScript, Shockwave)
- tons of troubleshooting tips from the field (including differences in popular servers and browsers)
- perl source code you can steal, um, adapt from Jeni at will
